What are the steps involved to get started?
Step 1: Listening & Needs Assessment. The first and most critical step in the implementation process involves listening to our clients. We assess needs, determine short and long term goals, understand overall objectives, and learn about our client's business.
Step 2: Recommendations & Project Scope. After extensive research, we create a detailed proposal defining our recommendations and project scope. We do not believe in surprises, especially when it comes to your budget.
Step 3: Team Approach. Our clients are experts within their core business. It is our responsibility to take the vision and turn it into reality. At Buckaroo eMail, we involve our clients intimately in the communication process and emphasize continual feedback.
Step 4: Creative Design & Development. After project scope approval, we begin the creative process. We approach every project from a multi-phase or multi-level progression. Now, the verbal and written plans become concrete. We involve our clients and obtain feedback at every juncture.
Step 5: Final Approval & Follow Up. During and after final approval, we perform internal and external quality assurance reviews to verify all project goals have been met. By nurturing relationships and working with clients continually, final project approval occurs smoothly, on time, and within budget.
Step 6: Lock & Load. Once content & design has been approved, database lists developed and cleaned, we’re ready to broadcast your message.
What happens to my client email address list after it is loaded to our server?
You always own your client email list. You can request an updated list at any time. Your client information resides on our secured server and remains confidential. Buckaroo eMail does not resell your database to any third party or competitor. We do not make known, reveal, report, publish or transfer to any person, firm or corporation the disclosed information.
Can I rent or buy an email list to use with Buckaroo eMail?
Yes. However you don’t actually own the list in the same way that you own a purchased mailing list. Typically, we are required to send an email introducing your product or service to prospects through the list provider. The list provider does this to protect recipient anonymity. A fee is charged by the list provider on a per usage basis. It is up to the prospect to sign up for additional information and/or continue receiving your email. The best list is the list you build over time – in house. It is populated with people who want to receive your message, and who will act upon its receipt. Patience, determination and consistency will help you build your most important asset, a list of handpicked recipients who are interested in your product or service.
Can I see the results of my email marketing campaigns online?
We provide secure access to each client's email marketing campaign results. First, we provide a set of aggregate statistics for the previous 3 email marketing campaigns. Our statistics include active recipients, inactive recipients, number broadcasted, number of opens, open rate, bouncebacks, click-throughs and click-through rate. We then provide individual statisitics for the previous three campaigns with the above statistics displayed for each campaign.
What's the difference between text-based and html-based email?
A text-based email message is one whose primary input and output are based on text rather than graphics. The primary benefits of text-based email is increased speed of message delivery. In addition, your message is less dependent on the recipient’s computer and/or type of connection: phone, DSL, T1 or broadband. HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-up Language. It is the dominant language used to create web-driven content. HTML’s primary benefit is its ability to integrate text and graphics to more effectively communicate your message.
What if a person wants to subscribe or unsubscribe? How do I do that?
We believe in making life simple. A person can subscribe/unsubscribe directly from your website with code that we provide to your existing website provider. There is also a notation at the bottom of every email sent that allows a person to add or remove him or herself from your list. All changes are made immediately to the database on a real-time basis. Also, to demonstrate CAN-SPAM compliance, Buckaroo eMail keeps track of all email addresses that are removed from your lists.
What do I do if I need custom photography or illustrations?
Call Buckaroo eMail. We have a host of highly trained professionals at our fingertips to complete any project involving custom photography or custom illustrations.
Does the base price include royalty-free graphics?
No. Our base fees do not include royalty-free graphics. Often times, clients already have graphics from previous marketing materials that they wish to use. Also, in order to promote a client’s “individuality” it is our position to purchase images as needed; therefore, the same “pool” of clients are not forced to use the same “pool” of photos. In doing so, we can keep your investment to a minimum by purchasing on an as need basis while maintaining unique and custom design. Buckaroo eMail can gather an assortment of images for your review and approval before final purchase.
Does the base price include copywriting services?
Yes and No. No, if a client wants Buckaroo eMail to create the content with little to no guidance. Yes, if a client provides a rough draft or bullet list. We consider that a viable starting point which reduces the additional investment. As always, Buckaroo eMail acts as your editor and reviews all content for accuracy and creates the “marketing spin” before publishing takes place. We don’t expect you to be a professional writer. That’s our job!
What is permission-based email marketing?
Permission-based email marketing simply means that the email is sent to people who want it — in contrast to unsolicited email or spam. This definition is typically expanded to mean that every person that you send an email message to has given their permission, whether direct or implied, for you to do so.
Email spam is Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE). Unsolicited means that you lack affirmative consent from the recipient. If you found an address on a web page, on a mailing list, or on Usenet, you don't have consent. If you got an address in gift, sale or trade, you don't have consent. If someone gave you an address for a particular purpose (for example, a commercial transaction, information about your products, or after-sales support) you only have consent to use it for that particular purpose. Use for any other purpose requires a new consent.
Bulk means that you sent a substantively similar message to more than 200 addresses a day. A message that differs from recipient to recipient only by details (e.g. the recipient's name, account number, blocks of random words, characters, numbers, or non-rendered text) is the same message. A message that uses different wording to express the same idea is the same message. If you send the same message to 200 different people day after day, it's spam.
